DOUG TOMPOS

WRITER / DIRECTOR / PRODUCER

DOUG TOMPOS brings over 35 years of experience as a professional actor to his writing and directing. His debut short film, COMING OF AGE, premiered at the 2018 Festival de Cannes, and went on to play numerous domestic and international festivals, including the Vancouver International FF and the MIX Mexico Festival de Diversidad.  Along with writing and directing, he continues to act, and plays a starring role in the recently released psychological thriller, THE CHANGED, opposite Tony Todd and Clare Foley. He began his career in New York, where his acting credits include the Original Broadway production of CITY OF ANGELS and the Off-Broadway hits, FOREVER PLAID and JEFFREY.  He wrote and starred in BENT TO THE FLAME - A NIGHT WITH TENNESSEE WILLIAMS which was awarded “Outstanding Solo Show” at the 2007 NY International Fringe Festival and toured nationwide.  His Film and TV appearances include roles on “NCIS:LA”, “Aquarius”, “Masters of Sex”, “Mad Men”, “The West Wing”, and “Frasier”; the feature films DIANE, BEING MICHAEL MADSEN, and THE SLEEPWALKER KILLING; and Jonathan Wysocki’s award-winning short film ADJUST-A-DREAM.  He has directed and acted in regional theatre productions across the U.S. and is a graduate of Syracuse University and the Banff Centre of Fine Arts, Canada.  He is currently developing his feature film directorial debut, LIFE SAVINGS.

MIGUEL PEREZ

ACTOR

MIGUEL PEREZ was born and raised in San Jose, CA.  After high school graduation in 1975, he joined the Marines. Honorably discharged in 1979, Miguel moved to New York City to begin his acting career. His graduation from the National Shakespeare Conservatory was followed by engagements with many regional theaters including the Asolo State Theatre, South Florida Shakespeare Company, American Repertory Theatre, Berkeley Repertory, Hartford Stage and others. In New York he appeared with the Classic Stage Company, The New York Shakespeare Festival and in an array of productions on and off Broadway.  On film Miguel has appeared in dozens of features including BLOW, UNBROKEN: Path To Redemption, OCEANS 11 and MILLION DOLLAR BABY. His television credits include guest star roles on SEINFELD, MADAM SECRETARY, ER, THE RESIDENT, DESIGNATED SURVIVOR, FEAR THE WALKING DEAD and many others. He coaches actors privately and teaches acting at the Art of Acting Studio in Hollywood.  He lives in Downtown LA and continues to work in Theatre, Film and Television.

JEFF LORCH

ACTOR

JEFF LORCH is an actor, photographer, writer and director, who has worked on many stages in theatre, improv, film, and tv. His fine art photography has traveled in gallery shows throughout the US, and he recently wrote and directed a short film about addiction recovery, currently in the festival circuit.  His theatre credits include AMERYKA (Kirk Douglas Theatre); RHINOCEROS, A VIEW FROM THE BRIGDGE, ROCKET TO THE MOON, OF MICE AND MEN, BLUE DAHLIA (Pacific Resident Theatre); HUSBANDS AND WIVES (Ensemble Theatre Company, Santa Barbara); EARTHQUAKES IN LONDON, NEED TO KNOW, UPLOADED (Rogue Machine Theatre); MODIGLIANI (Open Fist); and many years of improv at Impro Theatre, Groundlings, iOWest, UCB . In TV and on Film, he’s had the pleasure to work with Taika Waititi, Robert Zemeckis, Jon Gries, and many others.

CHRISTOPHER SHEFFIELD

DIRECTOR OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Los Angeles based Director and Director of Photography, CHRISTOPHER SHEFFIELD produced his first independent feature film as writer and director out of College. Titled RUN FOR YOUR LIFE, the film took place in the small town Christopher grew up in, utilizing many locations from his childhood, including the high school he graduated from. Christopher moved to Los Angeles where he established his production company 'Persephone Productions LLC' and began producing his second directorial feature film SPLIT UP which released to a limited theater run in Los Angeles. He continues to produce feature films alongside his wife and co-writer, Stephanie Sheffield.

With a voice which has been described as 'mesmerising' and 'siren-esque', and as a writer and string player, Marion has been a familiar face in the folk world for over 20 years. 
She is well known in the English folk scene as a prolific performer, appearing at festivals in the UK and overseas. She also provides vocals and full string sections on recordings in a wide variety of genres - both improvised and scored - in studios across the country and from her home studio. She has appeared on over 100 albums and recorded strings and vocals for projects in the USA, the Netherlands, Italy, Switzerland and the UK.  Classically trained, but with a performance background which includes jazz and folk, she turns her hand effortlessly to music from almost any genre.  As a teacher, she aims to inspire the next generation of musicians and instil a love of music in her many students.

RISA BRAMON GARCIA & STEVE BRAUN

 PRODUCERS

RISA BRAMON GARCIA and STEVE BRAUN are the co-founders of THE BGB STUDIO in L.A., an artistic home for actors, writers, directors, filmmakers and casting directors.  Their work, along with an amazing array of teachers and actors, is dedicated to fierce artistic exploration and the pursuit of every individual’s unique voice.  DOTTING THE "I" was created through the collaborative effort of members of the Studio.

For the past 35 years, RISA has worked consistently as a director, producer, casting director, writer and teacher.  She has directed the feature films 200 CIGARETTES and THE CON ARTIST, as well as numerous TV shows including multiple episodes of THE TWILIGHT ZONE, and shows on HBO, Lifetime, and Comedy Central.  Her film casting began with DESPERATELY SEEKING SUSAN and continued through more than 65 films including classics such as THE JOY LUCK CLUB, FATAL ATTRACTION, JFK, WALL STREET, BENNY AND JOON, and FLIRTING WITH DISASTER, among many others.   She’s cast numerous TV shows and pilots, including ROSEANNE, CSI:NY, all four seasons of MASTERS OF SEX on Showtime, THE AFFAIR, and  SEAL TEAM.  Risa served as Producer on Oliver Stone’s HEAVEN AND EARTH and NATURAL BORN KILLERS, films she also cast.

 

STEVE is an acting coach and communications consultant, drawing on many years of acting training, Buddhist practice and martial arts training to help his clients discover and express their unique emotional truth.  While pursuing an acting career Steve starred in movies such as HAROLD AND KUMAR GO TO WHITE CASTLE, WRONG TURN 2, and THE TRIP, and was a series regular on THE IMMORTAL and TWINS.  He guest starred on BONES, GILMORE GIRLS, THE CLOSER, NCIS and THE MENTALIST, among others.  Steve’s mission is to help individuals and organizations discover and express their unique voice and bring the totality of their creative power to their work and their lives.
